The Rhode Island Society of Certified Public Accountants held its Annual Meeting on Wednesday, April 24, at the Providence Marriott on Orms Street, and according to RISCPA Executive Director Robert A. Mancini, it was indeed “a very special evening.”

As part of the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA) member outreach program, Jay Rothberg, vice president of the office of the CEO at AICPA, visited three firms in Rhode Island in May. He and Bob Mancini, Executive Director of the RISCPA updated the members on current developments in the profession and received feedback from the partners on issues of importance to them.
Johnson & Wales President Delivers Keynote Address at Annual Meeting Apr 2012
Dr. Mim Runey, Providence Campus President and Chief Operating Officer of Johnson & Wales University, was the keynote speaker for RISCPAs Annual Meeting, which took place at the Providence Marriott on April 25th. Dr. Runey shared her insights as to how she and the university are helping college students adapt to the marketplace today and beyond.
