A new and improved home for RISCPA!

The summer season has been most cooperative in terms of weather and as usual, so has our talented and dedicated staff at RISCPA as we confronted a major move during the warmest months of the year.  Through everyone’s hard work, I’m delighted to report that our relocation to 40 Sharpe Drive, Unit 5, in Cranston, went very well.

So much so, that the movers arrived at Royal Little Drive at 8:00am on July 10th and finished their work by 1:30pm that same day!  RISCPA’s phones and computer system were set on the 11th and we were back to business the following Monday.  Not to mention, amidst the move we successfully held the annual RISCPA Charitable Golf Outing and were also facing our annual audit.  I could not be prouder of the team’s effort and we should all be grateful for their hard work.

Over the next couple of weeks, be on the look for an invitation to our new location’s Open House for members, partners, vendors, etc., following the Labor Day holiday, on Thursday, September 11th from 4:00pm to 6:00pm.  If you’re in the area prior to the event, feel free to take a moment to stop by for a visit.

The “perks” of our new location are plentiful.  The site affords ample parking and it is centrally located to all of Rhode Island and nearby Massachusetts via Rts. 95, North & South, Rt. 195 and 295, North & South.  Our new technology systems are state of the art and our training room includes two suspended projectors for visual clarity, new stream-lined tables and arguably the most comfortable classroom chairs in the state!  The kitchen/break area, affectionately referred to as “Denise’s Domain,” is now more spacious with room for storage and member mingling.  Our Board/conference/alternate training room has a flat screen TV for presentations and upgraded speaker phones.  Our choice pieces of art and memorable items of recognition also add a special flare throughout our sunny, high ceiling facility.

I, along with the RISCPA staff and Board, would like to thank you, our loyal members, strategic partners and vendors for your continued support of this terrific Society.  While we’re anticipating a successful CPE season at our bright new home, we’ll also be adding on-line offerings to complement your educational needs.  Watch for some exciting updates in the weeks ahead!

Until next time, and prior to arranging Jim’s limo to and from the upcoming Board meeting, “There’s never been a better time to be a CPA.”
